An industrial-grade fluorescent lighting system from StockerYale Inc. is designed for imaging, process control and machine vision inspection applications. The model 10XI circular fluorescent vision illuminator is made of a black anodized aluminum extrusion and is powered by a 25-kHz driver. The company says that it provides 360° of bright, uniform, shadow- and flicker-free illumination and adapts to any microscope or camera. Lamps are available in white color temperatures as well as in wavelength-specific colors. The system can be custom-designed, and optional accessories include a polarizer kit for use with reflective materials.
