Tektronix Inc. offers the 80C10 optical sampling module for use with the CSA8000B communications signal analyzer. Designed for accurate characterization of 40-Gb/s components, the module has an integrated optical reference receiver and an electrical bandwidth of more than 70 GHz. It is suitable for production testing of OC-768/STM-256 elements and supports the ITU-T G.709 forward error correction standard. The device features bandwidth of 30 or 65 GHz and improved characterization of nonreturn-to-zero and return-to-zero signals. Specifications include an average input power of 20 mW, a wavelength of 1310 to 1550 nm and an optical return loss >30 dB.
