INO offers multimode fiber with attenuation levels ranging from 0.05 to 5 dB/cm at 850 nm. It is suitable for fabricating fixed attenuators in Gigabit Ethernet applications for fiber-to-the-home or last-mile access networks. The fiber is compatible with standard 50/125-µm fiber installed in the local loop with a numerical aperture of 0.2. Attenuation uniformity is better than ±10% over a 100-nm bandwidth. The company says it provides stability, durability and reliability.
