Off-axis metal parabolic reflectors that direct or focus incident collimated light at 30°, 60° or 90° are available from Edmund Industrial Optics. The mirrors are designed to focus light to a spot that is more accessible than an on-axis spot. They are suitable for use in MTF systems and laser beam expanders and as collimators for Schlierien systems. These λ/4 optics have diameters of 25.4 or 50.8 mm and effective focal lengths of approximately 25 to more than 150 mm. Aluminum and gold coatings are offered for visible and forward-looking-IR applications, respectively.
