A UV/VIS/NIR spectrometer system for monitoring fiber-coupled telescopes is available from McPherson Inc. The 350-mm-focal-length, high-resolution research-grade spectrometer delivers <0.1-nm spectral resolution and 0.1-mm-scale images near the axis. The reflective telescopes feature parabolic optics for gathering light and delivering signals to fibers. The spectrometer can collect spectra when combined with a fast-gated detection system. The device includes a reflective fiber-coupling accessory. Doped and UV-capable fibers also are available.
