LASER DIODE TESTING The OMH-6780B and ­6790B power/wave heads measure up to 10 W with wavelength accuracy ±0.2 nm. ILX Lightwave Corp. has designed these devices for use with its OMM-6810B optical multimeter or LPA-9080 series parameter analyzer. The power/ wave heads have a fiber exit port for connecting to an optical spectrum analyzer to make spectral measurements. They have a wavelength range of 830 to 1100 nm and power measurement accuracy of ±5.0%. The company says the devices eliminate the need for additional wavelength measurements in higher-power pump laser diode testing.
