Infrared Viewing Devices The IRV1, IRV2 (shown) and IRVC are three new models of infrared viewing devices from Power Technology Inc. These competitively priced units are suitable for a variety of applications requiring the observation of light emitted by infrared sources. Such applications include telecommunications, photo processing, thermal imaging, laser beam alignment, fluorescence and forensics.

The IRVC is a hybrid-intensified CCD camera that features an infrared image converter and TFT-LCD display. The unit is designed for viewing/recording radiation in the 350- to 1700-nm spectral range. The IRV1, a miniature viewer that fits comfortably in the palm of the hand, is available in two versions, one with a spectral response from 350 to 2000 nm and the other from 350 to 1700 nm. The IRV2 viewer is designed for observing radiation in the 350- to 1700-nm, 350- to 1300-nm or even 270- to 1700-nm spectral range.

The IRV1 and IRV2 devices may be handheld, post-mounted using their 3/4-20 internal threads, or attached to a face mask for hands-free operation.
