LASER CABLES Multimode Fiber Optics Inc. offers high-power laser transmission cables with either HP-SMA905 or HP-635 connectors. The HP-SMA905 connector holds the fiber tip cantilevered within an SMA905 connector ferrule, which is bored to remove epoxy and other material from the fiber perimeter, reducing fiber breakdown. A heat sink at the rear of the connector conducts heat away from the fiber. The HP-635 offers the same features in a simplified stainless steel ferrule that can be held in a standard optical positioner. The silica/silica fibers have numerical apertures of 0.22.
