UV LASER DIODE

Photonics Spectra
Apr 2003
Qioptiq Photonics Ltd.

UV LASER DIODE Point Source has a new 370-nm UV laser diode system in its line of iFlex-2000 fiber-coupled lasers. The device delivers 1 mW of power in a pure Gaussian TEM00 beam from a single-mode polarization-maintaining fiber. This flexible beam delivery enables removal of fixed-alignment and line-of-sight optics associated with UV laser instrumentation. The company says the laser is reliable and stable and operates with low noise. The output power can be adjusted without sacrificing beam quality or optical noise. The system is suitable for optical disc storage and for fluorescence-based applications.
