DIODE LASER ARRAY The LightStack diode laser array from Coherent Inc. provides nearly a kilowatt of CW laser power for direct-diode materials processing and high-power laser-pumping applications. The 2-D configurable device can include a maximum of 20 60-W bars vertically and 10 60-W bars horizontally. The array integrates the company's LightStone bars, which measure 1 cm long, have a 1-mm cavity and provide 60 W in the 780- to 820-nm range. The bars' typical operating current and voltage is 70 A at <2 V. Beam divergence is <40° by 10°, FWHM.
