Suitable for high-vacuum applications, the HPS Series 909 mini ion transducer integrates a hot-cathode sensor with an electronics control package and features a wide measurement range. The device, manufactured by MKS Instruments Inc., can measure vacuum from 10-10 to 10-2 t. The pressure-controlled electron bombardment degas function automatically stops and restarts at preset pressures. The device features RS-485 digital communications for real-time monitoring and adjustments, semilogarithmic analog output and a relay set point. Two yttrium-coated iridium filaments and a screen that protects the grid and filaments from large particles also are included.
