The model 7701A high-power OEM laser diode driver from Analog Modules Inc. drives pulsed or CW diode-pumped solid-state lasers. It is configurable for peak output currents of 300 A with 10-µs rise time, or of 50 A CW into diode loads to 280 V. The DB-25 interface connector enables external control of mode operation, pulse width, current amplitude, load-voltage and current monitor, and crowbar input/output functions. The device's floating output can drive grounded cathode or grounded anode laser diodes. It requires a DC source, such as the 5705 laser power module, and can be set for either 115- or 220-VAC input. Equipped with an internal fan and heat sink, it comes in a rugged package weighing 4.53 kg.
