A one-component UV-curable polymer system for bonding, sealing and coating is available from Master Bond Inc. UV15-7 contains no solvents and is suitable for use in temperatures ranging from 60 to 300 °F. This optically clear polymeric material cures in 5 s to 3 min at ambient temperatures. Maximum UV absorption occurs in the 280- to 360-nm range. The company says UV15-7 provides durability, roughness, thermal shock resistance and adhesion to various substrates, including glass, metals, polyester films, plastics and polycarbonates.
