s6090000 The Spectroline AP-800 UltraWand UV inspection lamp can be used to check areas that are inaccessible to conventional lamps. This 8-W lamp from Spectronics Corp. is 1 in. in diameter and 30 in. long. Applications include finding flaws on jet engine turbine blades, checking the inside of pipelines for defective welds or hydrocarbon contamination, and examining internal magnetic particles and liquid penetrants. The lamp provides steady-state UVA irradiance of 4800 µW/cm2 at 1 in. The UV radiation is concentrated at the tip of the 30-in. anodized aluminum probe.
