LENS TESTING

Photonics Spectra
Jul 2003
Wells ResearchRequest Info

The OpticStudio lens testing system can be used to assess a variety of lenses, from molded plastic to diffraction-limited objectives. Available from Thorlabs Inc. and Wells Research and Development Inc., the desktop system can test off-the-shelf lenses for new applications and diagnose imaging problems in commercial or custom lenses. The collimator section includes a high-intensity light source, interchangeable narrow-band filters and various test reticles. The lens under test is held in a universal three-jaw chuck, which is mounted on a nodal slide for off-axis measurements. OpticStudio comes with PixelScope image analysis software for real-time measurements.
