DIGITAL CAMERA Nikon Instruments has introduced the DXM1200F digital camera for bright image capture in low-illumination applications, including fluorescence, DIC and dark-field observations. It has a 12 million-pixel output capability and 2.5 times more sensitivity than the company's previous model. The camera enables high-speed streaming data transfer of 12 fps at a 640 3 512-pixel live image display, and offers zoom capabilities up to 800% for low-magnification applications. The DXM
1200F provides high efficiency for live image focusing and alignment as well as for reduced specimen fading during fluorescence applications.
