Wells Research and Development Inc. announces its family of AlignmentStudio modular hardware and software for developing optical test and measurement systems. The line includes optical instruments, image analysis software and mounting equipment that can be employed for creating proof-of-concept prototypes for R&D applications or for building assembly and alignment fixtures for production applications. The tools also may be useful to optical engineers as parts of more complex optical test systems. Dovetail coupling ensures quick assembly and disassembly but is precise and rigid when locked. Thus, components cannot be assembled in a configuration that is not optically correct. The software allows the user to view images in real time and to zoom in on individual pixels.
