Optical Design Software CODE V is a comprehensive software package for the design, analysis and fabrication support of optical systems. CODE V provides powerful optimization and tolerancing capabilities and is recognized for its accurate and innovative algorithms. For example, NASA required that all optical designs associated with the Hubble Space Telescope's first servicing mission be verified using CODE V.

CODE V supports many advanced modeling features, including diffractive optical elements, gradient-index and birefringent materials, polarization components, and multilayer coatings with coating-thickness-variation modeling, stress birefringence, thermal gradients and much more.

Advanced design and analysis capabilities include general beam propagation, true afocal analysis, two-dimensional image analysis with partial coherent illumination, and fiber coupling efficiency.

These built-in features, combined with CODE V's powerful Macro-Plus programming language and Windows-standard graphical user interface, provide outstanding flexibility and ease of use.
