Sunex Inc.'s SHT914 miniature mechanical shutters with a front protective window are suitable for still-picture applications with megapixel digital cameras based on CMOS or CCD sensors. The shutter assemblies display average opening and closing times of 4 and 5 ms, respectively. The off-the-shelf shutters weigh about 3.75 g and are designed for integration with the company's DSL9xx and DSL8xx series of lenses. They may be customized to meet the needs of the user.
