Rad-icon Imaging Corp. The Shad-o-Snap 1024 x-ray-sensitive camera from Rad-icon Imaging Corp. has a USB plug-and-play interface for use with Windows 2000 and XP operating systems. It internally generates timing signals and provides separate frame sync input/output for synchronization to external events. The camera retrieves images as 128 X 124-pixel thumbnails at up to 1 fps, or as full-resolution 8-bit tiff or 16-bit raw integer files at 0.3 fps. It features a CMOS photodiode imager with a 5 X 5-cm active area, 48-µm-pixel spacing and an integrated scintillator suitable for biomedical applications in the 10- to 160-kV range. Power requirements are 6 to 8 VDC at 1.6 W. CameraConsole application software is included.
