The ClearSpectrum line unveiled by TeraXion Inc. comprises fiber Bragg grating-based chromatic dispersion compensation products that tune over the full C-band. The company says that the small-footprint devices offer low insertion loss, regardless of dispersion levels. Flexible TuneX configurations enable a wide tuning range around negative, positive and null nominal dispersion offsets. The devices are suitable for applications in next-generation systems that operate at 40-Gb/s transmission rates or that use optical path dynamic reconfiguration, and they can be employed as variable dispersion emulators for test and measurement. They also are available for L-band operation.
