miniDalsa.jpgDALSA introduces its high-speed, high-dynamic-range area-scan camera. It provides an economical and compact solution ideally suited to high-fidelity applications such as automated x-ray inspection, nondestructive testing and medical imaging. A true 12-bit performer, the 1024 × 1024 camera achieves 60 fps with a dynamic range that exceeds 68 dB without the need for cooling.

When used with microfocus x-ray equipment, the camera can scan the internal structures of a wide range of materials from state-of-the-art electronics (µ-BGA, flip chip, printed circuits) to steel, aluminum and ceramic tiles, revealing hidden porosity, cracks or contamination. Defects that have caused manufacturers to scrap entire lots can now be screened economically, reliably and nondestructively -- and in real time.

The camera's spatial and contrast resolution also provide optimal detail detectability for medical applications such as minimally invasive surgery, urology and vascular surgery.
