miniEdmund.jpgEdmund Industrial Optics' newly designed and manufactured 0.08× telecentric lens offers a huge 80-mm field of view (on a 1/2-in. sensor) or 110-mm field of view (on a 2/3-in. sensor) at a 170- to 220-mm working distance range. Designed for machine vision, this lens has a 105-mm depth of field and a 0.35% maximum distortion over its entire field of view. It also features high resolution, low distortion and <0.2° telecentricity within the lens's working distance range. The same magnification within this range can be obtained simply be refocusing. A C-mount is included. As with other Edmund telecentric lenses, this lens has a front filter thread for the addition of color filters, polarizers or other mounted components that optimize machine vision applications. Both the focusing and the aperture can be fixed by set screws that remain secure in high vibration environments.
