Hypertherm Inc. offers its LH2100 and LH2125 CO2 laser heads for plate-cutting applications. Featuring the company's flow accelerated screen technology, the laser heads eliminate the stagnant zone in the assist gas, increasing cutting speeds by up to 20 percent. The LH2100 features focal lengths of 7.5 and 10 in., and the LH2125 includes a 12.5-in. option for use with thicker plates. An optional laser controller offers dynamic pierce control, cut-error monitoring and intelligent cutting algorithms to maximize uptime and reduce total cycle times. The heads are suitable for use with 4- to 6-kW dedicated lasers and with 2- to 3-kW shared-duty systems.
