A digital IEEE-1394 interface controls the camera and transfers data at 400 Mb/s. The camera measures 54 × 43 × 95 mm, weighs ~220 g and supports both a standard and a random trigger shutter. An external asynchronous trigger signal controls the start point and exposure time in random mode. In window-of-interest mode, up to 16 arbitrary areas can be read out. At full resolution, the readout rate is 7.29 fps, and 83 fps with VGA resolution is achievable. Applications include machine vision and factory automation.
