Rofin-Sinar Laser GmbH presents the FA 040 fast-axial-flow CO2 laser for cutting sheet metal. The DC-excited laser has an output power of 4 kW and a beam quality of 0.5, and is suitable for mounting on existing gantry systems. A Web-based laser control unit enables integrated error diagnosis and the generation of maintenance reports or problem descriptions in e-mail or SMS formats. Teleservice via an Ethernet connection or optional Profibus interface enables service engineers to perform telecontrolled maintenance or to take control of the laser. The device operates with premix gas, and an optional gas mixer is available.
