Digital Camera Lenses Sunex Inc. has introduced three multielement glass lenses optimized for compact megapixel CMOS/CCD digital cameras. The lenses in the DSL series are made from glass components, and all include IR-cut coatings to block unwanted IR light. The DSL819 has a 5.1-mm focal length, operates at a speed of f/2.8 and is designed for a 5.4-mm imager. The total track is 8.6 mm. The DSL823 is designed for 6.8-mm imager formats, has a 6.3-mm focal length and operates at f/3.0. Total track is 10.4 mm. The DSL853 is designed for 8.0-mm imager formats, has an 8.0-mm focal length and operates at f/3.2. Total track is 13.5 mm. The lenses are available off-the-shelf or they can be customized.
