It is suitable for quality control inspection applications, including paper, web printing, nonwovens, metals, industrial fabrics and coatings, license plate reading, container and railroad car identification, and extruded film, foil, plastic and textiles. It is available in red, blue, white, green and IR, and comes in 20-in. segments that can be joined end-to-end without illumination gaps. Lifetime is 100,000 h, and cross-directional uniformity is >10%. The light source can be used for direct or backlighting.
