The Universal Epi-Fluorescence Reflected Light Illuminator module not only supports all types of reflected light illumination techniques for opaque materials science and semiconductor and metallurgical samples, but also provides fluorescence imaging for cutting-edge scientific research, according to its manufacturer, Nikon Instruments Inc. Designed for use with the company's Eclipse upright microscope models, the module incorporates a high-precision turret that holds up to six interchangeable reflector blocks for multiple fluorescence illumination wavelengths as well as for methods such as bright- and dark-field and differential interference contrast imaging.
