lSPLIT Newport Corp. has introduced a line of beamsplitters designed to minimize pulse dispersion and maximize bandwidth for ultrafast laser applications such as beam sampling and autocorrelation measurement. The beamsplitter coating provides a 50/50 split at a 45° angle of incidence for S-polarized light between 700 and 950 nm. The back surface is antireflection-coated to minimize surface reflection losses and eliminate ghost images. A thin fused-silica substrate with l/10 wavefront distortion reduces pulse dispersion.
