A progressive-scan 4-megapixel camera with Camera Link output is available from SVS-Vistek GmbH for use in space-limited applications such as print and PCB inspection, semiconductors, food sorting and optical metrology. Measuring 50 × 50 × 45 mm, the camera achieves 2048 × 2048-pixel resolution, with 7.4-µm pitch. It operates at a frame rate of 16 full images per second, and a partial-scan mode lets the user select smaller images with a higher frame rate. The system includes a 2 × 2 binning mode and a program that adjusts gain, offset and exposure time via serial interface. It is supplied with an M42 thread and a C-mount lens connector.
