Wide-Range Polarizer The colorPol IR1300BC5 polarizing filter produced by Codixx enables high transmittance and high contrast ratio for the spectral range from 600 to 1800 nm. The company says that the device offers an alternative to using polarizers specific to 1060, 1300 and 1550 nm, the known optical windows of telecommunications. It also can serve as a competitively priced, easier to handle replacement for the grid polarizers that are typically used for the mid-IR range. The patternable filter is flat like a foil, UV-stable and resistant to temperature, and it can be processed like silicon wafers.
