UV Laser System The IX-100 mini UV laser system from JPSA Laser is suitable for use in universities, prototyping shops and research and development laboratories. Its laser photoablation capability enables materials such as polymers, glass, quartz and silicon to be micromachined with holes or complex patterns with precision approaching 1 µm. The system's laser provides a repetition rate of 300 Hz with 35 mJ per pulse at 248 nm, and it can be tuned to operate at 193 nm by an interchange of the premix gas bottle and beam delivery optics. Beam delivery is stabilized by granite and supported by a welded steel frame. The system has applications in the biomedical and life sciences, particulary in the development of microfluidic and lab-on-a-chip devices and bioanalytic separation and analysis methods.
