IR FILTERS Sunex Inc. has introduced IR-cutoff filters for use with CCD/CMOS color sensors to produce true color images. The precision-polished windows have a dielectric coating to block the transmission of IR radiation while passing the visible spectrum. Cosmetic surface quality specification is better than 20-10 scratch-dig after coating, and defects are <20 µm. Filter thickness is 1.0 mm, and standard size is 15 × 15 mm, with custom sizes available. Dimension tolerance is ±0.1 mm, and surface flatness is ≤3 fringes.
