DUAL-MODE AMPLIFIER The AB2 amplifier manufactured by Nanomotion Inc. operates in two modes, standard servo and ultrahigh 1-nm-resolution, for use with all HR series motors. In servo mode, it provides unlimited travel with velocity from 1 µm/s to 250 mm/s. Activated by an input command, the DC mode converts the ±10 analog input into ultrahigh-resolution positioning with travel of ±300 nm and subnanometer resolution. The device requires 24 VDC ±5%, can drive several motors, with up to 16 HR elements in parallel, and accommodates cable lengths of up to 40 m. It measures 149 × 118.5 × 41 mm and weighs 450 g. It can be positioned on a desktop or mounted on a wall.
