Protects Against External Interference
CARLSBAD, Calif., June 18 -- Experiments in electrophysiology, confocal microscopy and other sensitive applications often must be shielded from external interferences such as high-frequency electromagnetic waves (e.g., AM/FM radio waves), drafts, light and electrostatic fields. The ScienceDesk Faraday enclosure protects against
these external sources of interference by attenuating electromagnetic interference by up to 50 dB at 10 MHz and 29 dB at 1 GHz. Thermal variations and dust contamination of the work area are also significantly reduced.
The enclosure is available in sizes to fit all standard ScienceDesk configurations. The aluminium frame and panels provide a light yet sturdy structure that mounts onto the ScienceDesk frame and provides a completely grounded system that does not interfere with the vibration-isolated tabletop.
