ENGRAVING, CUTTING The XL series computer-controlled laser engraving, marking and cutting machines from Universal Laser Systems Inc. are compatible with 25- to 150-W air-cooled lasers in single or dual configurations for maximum power of 300 W. The XL-9200 has a 36 × 24-in. field, and the XL-12000, a 48 × 24-in. field. Both models accommodate a variety of materials and have an advanced beam indicator that precisely identifies the point of impact on the material's surface. Options include a high-power-density focusing lens that reduces the focused spot size to produce finer, more detailed engraving for photographs and for smaller text.
