MINI LASER HEAD Laser Components GmbH has introduced the Quanta OEM module, a miniaturized laser head integrated with both a drive circuit and a quantum cascade laser. Applications include high-resolution spectroscopy and infrared adjustment. When operated in Fabry-Perot mode, it can be used for specimen activation and detector testing. Temperature, pulse flow and duty cycle are factory-set, but if signals for these parameters are assigned to the analog interfaces, the device switches to custom mode to allow adjustment by the user. Operation in automatic mode requires only a voltage setting for the laser head. The company says that exchange of the lasers within the system is quick and easy.
