LINEAR GUIDES Miniature linear guides available from Del-Tron Precision Inc. have recirculating ball tracks with 45° contact angles for high load-carrying capability in all directions. Users can choose normal, high or precision accuracy, and the guides operate from –40 to 80 °C. They can handle speeds of up to 3 m/s and accelerations of up to 250 m/s2 and, for short periods, can withstand 100 °C. Operators also can choose higher preload for improved rigidity, precision and torque resistance, or lower preload for reduced friction and increased operating life. The DP15, the largest guide, supports a dynamic load of 615 N and a static load of 1315 N, while the smallest, the DP5, supports 550 and 335 N, respectively.
