FO COMPONENTS Clairex Technologies Inc. has introduced the CFE370, CFD470 and CFR520 fiber optic components, all featuring self-aligning plastic lens caps for better optical transmission. Another model, the CFR530, is a flat-window, metal lens can device that has a hermetic seal and operates at up to 125 °C. At 1F = 100 mA, typical output for the CFE370 is 30 µW and typical rise and fall time is 6 ns. At VR = 5 V, typical responsivity of the CFD470 is 0.55 A/W. Field of view is 80°. The CFR520 and -530 contain 5-Mb direct-coupled fiber optic receivers and feature low pulse-width distortion.
