PicoQuant GmbH has expanded its LDH series picosecond pulsed diode laser heads with the introduction of the LDH 470, a 470-nm aquamarine model that produces pulse durations of 70 ps FWHM at repetition rates from single-shot to 80 MHz. Average power is 1 mW, with 1 W maximum. Applications include exciting fluorescent proteins and dyes. Interchangeable with the other laser heads in the LDH series, the system includes a pulsed diode laser driver and an integrated collimator. It is supplied in a Linos microbench-compatible housing.
