The PM1000 workstation has been introduced by ficonTec GmbH for applications such as the automated assembly and testing of optical microcomponents. Based on the PM500 pick-and-place system, the modular workstation can be equipped for welding, soldering and adhesive bonding, and for passive and active lens alignment of high-power laser diodes. It also can be fitted with passive and active alignment features, grippers and vacuum tools. The platform is controlled by fiMap software.
