A digital 2/3-in. monochrome progressive-scan CCD camera launched by JAI Pulnix Inc. has 1392 × 1040 6.45-µm square pixels, extended IR sensitivity and 10-bit Camera Link video output. The CV-M4+ also is available in an LVDS version with 8-bit video output. Several binning and partial-scan readout modes allow rates of up to 102 fps. Features include triggering options with edge preselect, pulse-width control and restart continuous trigger modes. Shutter speeds are selectable from 1/24 to 1/10,000 s in 10 steps. Setup is via switches or serial control, using Windows 98/NT/2000 software, which is included.
