730- to 1120-nm LASER DIODES Power Technology Inc. is offering laser diodes with wavelengths from 730 to 1120 nm and output from 10 mW to 2 W. The company can incorporate the single-mode distributed feedback (DFB), distributed Bragg reflector (DBR) and broad-area instruments into many of its compact laser modules to provide a Gaussian output that focuses to a small spot size. The DFB diodes operate from 763 to 923 nm, produce from 50 to 150 mW and are suitable for seismology and hydrophony applications. The DBR models are available with 100 mW of output at 1061 and 1063 nm or 80 mW at 1083 nm, and are suitable for metrology, spectroscopy, telecommunications and seeding of pulsed Nd:YAG and Yb-based lasers. The broad-area diodes achieve from 1 to 2 W at wavelengths from 740 to 1120 nm.
