Point Grey Research Inc. has unveiled a color version of its Flea IEEE-1394 digital camera. The device features a 12-bit ADC and a 1/3-in. color Sony CCD sensor available in 640 × 480 resolution at 60 fps or 1024 × 768 resolution at 30 fps. It supports automatic synchronization of multiple cameras, general-purpose input/output pins, extended shutter times and in-field firmware upgrading. The full development kit includes a C-/CS-mounted camera, an IEEE-1394 interface card and cable, a Hirose eight-pin circular connector, a tripod mounting adapter, a driver and user manuals.
