OPTICAL TABLES The 5300 series high-end vibration-damping optical tables provide maximum relative motion and dynamic deflection for high-precision applications, according to their manufacturer, Kinetic Systems Inc. Their flat, stiff, highly damped surfaces have high natural frequencies, and they are available in sizes up to 6 × 20 ft., with standard thicknesses from 8 to 36 in. They offer quad-tuned-plus broadband damping, rigidity and stability. The tables are Class 100 cleanroom-compatible, with Class 10 available, and feature a proprietary Spillpruf design.
