POWER PROBE Ophir Optronics Inc. has introduced the Comet 1K power probe, a handheld tool that measures laser power from 20 W to 1 kW as well as the beam profile, wavelength and energy. Spectral range is from 0.2 to 20 µm, absolute calibration accuracy is ±5%, repeatability is ±1% for the same initial temperature, and linearity with power is ±2% ±1 W. The device is supplied with a swivel mount that rotates ±90° and a 2 3 8-character LCD. It stores the history of the past three readings and is CE-approved.
