Toptica Photonics AG has released its FFS Femtofiber series ultrafast Er:fiber laser systems that combine the performance of Ti:sapphire oscillators with the stability of an all-fiber laser source. Comprising pump sources, a mode-locked ring oscillator, up to two parallel amplifiers and optical pulse compression in a single compact housing, the systems deliver 180 mW of linearly polarized stable output in sub-100-fs pulses. The laser emission wavelength is 1.55 µm. The series is available with a continuum-generation stage that generates ultrabroadband output spectra covering more than one full octave in bandwidth.
