WATERLOO, Ontario, Nov. 10 -- Dalsa Corp. has introduced the Piranha2-12k line scan camera, with 12,288 pixels, 8 taps, 24kHz-line rate and a data rate totaling 320 MHz. The Piranha2-12k offers higher resolution and higher throughput than any other line scan camera. The Piranha2-12k enables faster, more precise industrial inspection to help improve product quality and reduce cycle time and costs in applications such as print and web inspection. The 
camera provides powerful programmability and versatility, including flat field correction, programmable line rate, exposure time, gain and diagnostics through its industry-standard Camera Link interface.
"The launch of the P2-12k showcases DALSA’s leadership position in line scan," said Dave Cochrane, director of product marketing in DALSA’s Vision for Machines division. "This latest Piranha2 combines higher resolution, higher sensitivity and higher throughput than any other line scan camera. It will have a significant impact in the industry."
Now in volume production, the Piranha2-12k is available on request.
