CMOS IMAGERS Available from Photonfocus AG, the Emphis series monochrome CMOS sensors have applications in industrial image processing and in surveillance and security. Providing up to 120 dB of dynamic range with resolution from VGA to megapixel, the imagers feature resistance to blooming, low power consumption at high speeds, and high image contrast achieved by LinLog technology. Suitable for applications in confined spaces, the Emphis-300 and -500 models have integrated A/D converters and digital interface. The -1000 version, with 150 fps, is dedicated to high-speed imaging. Because of the global shutter and region of interest, high-speed applications with exposure times in the microsecond range are possible.
